Welcome to SnappyTravels. This is not your usual travel blog. We write travel guides and offer tips on destinations around the world with a focus on good photography and where available, wildlife.

We explore off the beaten track so you may not see the obvious attractions and tourist hotspots here. Instead we’ll provide info and great pictures of the lesser known gems in destinations in Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and Australasia. It’s all about exploration and discovery.

About SnappyTravels.uk

Based on the sunny south coast of the UK and therefore close to the European mainland and ferry ports, we’ve covered a lot of Europe. Our more exotic travels began proper with a long-haul trip to Australia, via Japan.

We well and truly got bitten by the travel bug and have since racked up a good number of countries covering most continents, each of which, in time, will have its own page on this travel photo blog with a difference.

Photography, wildlife & exploring off the beaten track

As a keen photographer, Mr SnappyTravels is continually upgrading his gear to get better and better shots of wildlife, nature and cultural sights. Meanwhile Mrs SnappyTravels is busy researching new places to explore, uncovering hidden gems. We increasingly find ourselves searching out more and more animals and birds wherever we go. Even city breaks have their hidden secrets if you search them out. And of course, wherever you go there are always arty photos to be had if you look hard enough. For us the challenge is all part of the travel bug.
